Not About Heroes
FRIDAY 10 NOVEMBER | The Riverside Theatre, Chichester
College | 7.30pm

Bersted Arts presents Stephen Macdonald’s beautifully written play which chronicles the unique relationship that developed between first world war poets Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen - from their first meeting in 1917 at Craiglockhart War Hospital, where both were being treated for ‘war neurosis’, to their final meeting in August 1918, shortly before Owen’s return to active duty.

Featuring an original score that is both beautiful and haunting, innovative design, and two powerful central performances by two Sussex Actors James Etheridge (Owen) and Will Hackett (Sassoon), and directed by Jonathon Goodwin, Not About Heroes is both exhilarating and uncompromising in its exploration of love, war and a friendship that changed the face of British poetry.

We Are One

SUNDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2023

WE ARE ONE: CHOIR IN A DAY is exactly what it says on the tin. Come and rehearse during the day and then perform all your hard work to a live audience in the evening. This is an exciting opportunity for all those who want to try out what it's like to be in a choir without the ongoing commitment, and for anyone who is up for the challenge of learning a number of songs in a condensed amount of time and then perform them.
