A divine night of celebration to bring people together this Christmas

Get ready for a Christmas celebration like no other as local singers and musicians come together for an evening of musical indulgence this December.

Featuring the Bersted Community Choir, the Southdowns Concert Band and vocal harmony group the ‘Christmas Quintet’, audiences will be taken on a festive musical journey that will be a treat for the eyes and ears as ‘O Night Divine’ comes to Bognor Regis.

Expect all your favourite Christmas classics - plus a few quirky additions thrown in for good measure - some stunning harmonies, laughter and much-needed feel-good vibes, all accompanied by a 30-piece concert band. There’s little chance you won’t be left thoroughly entertained and in the festive spirit by the end of the night.

The event is being organised by local arts company Bersted Arts in collaboration with the Southdowns Concert Band as a way to bring people together this Christmas.

Event organiser James Etheridge said: “We originally planned this event for last Christmas but inevitably had to cancel due to the pandemic.

“Now we’re finally able to bring some joy to the local community after a long 18 months – a period that has seen us forced to separate from one another and put our lives on hold.

“It seems we’re finally coming out the other side now and this December feels like the perfect opportunity to celebrate that, and bring some festive light, warmth and laughter to people that has been in limited supply over the last couple of years.”

‘O Night Divine’ takes place on Saturday 11 December at Saint Wilfrids Parish Church, Ellasdale Road, Bognor Regis, where there will be two opportunities to catch the performance at 2.30pm and 7.00pm.

Tickets start from £8 for an adult (16 and above) and £6 for children. For parties of four or more, Saver tickets are available for £30 – perfect for families or large groups.
